Drake Maverick vs. Kushida vs. Jake Atlas: Winner moves onto the Finals to face El Hijo del Fantasma to crown the first ever NXT Cruiserweight Champion.

A very rapid back and forth Triple Threat which is always a good sign. Triple Threats tend to have an up tempo pace in the ring. Jake Atlas showcases early on he has both the tandem of athleticism and shocking strength. Kushida is the veteran within this match, previously working in New Japan Pro Wrestling and holding the NJPW Jr. Championship several times. Kushida has this rare combo of agility, strength, and the technical skills to provide submission holds, having all three tied into his in-ring style. SIDENOTE: The international talent WWE currently has on their roster is INSANE! This match ends in a clever finish as Kushida performs an armbar on Jake Atlas, but Maverick pins Atlas by keeping his shoulders on the mat to force the ref to pin to three.

Johnny Gargano and Keith Lee seems to be setting up an North American Title match between the two.

Lee and Mia Yum were both mocking Gargano and Candice Larae, Gargano’s wife, even stating “It’s not the Gargano way, it’s about making you pay”. Seems that Mia Yum and Candice Larae have things to settle in the ring as they square off on next wendesday’s show of NXT.

Welcome to the Era of Imperium: Where the Mat is Sacred.

NXT Tag Team Champions Marcel Barthel and Fabian Aichner are set to butt heads with Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch.

Shotzi Blackheart vs. Raquel Gonzalez

This match I’ll describe very shortly. Shoti Blackheart has incredible traditional style wrestling techniques and knows how to cleverishly reverse any move that Raquel tried to do for the first 2-3 minutes of the match. I must say personally, Raquel, just by her size, if used correctly, she can be a better powerhouse female wrestler than Nia Jax and Tamina… Yes you’re probably wondering that’s not saying much but; at least that means she can be better than both. Blackheart is a risk taker and seems to capture the big moment. We should expect good things from her. Raquel gets the victory due to the interference of Candice Larae at ringside.

Finn Balor vs. Damian Priest at NXT: Takeover In Your House

During this segment numerous of encounters between the two were played to promote the match next week. This shall be one of the best matches on the card that night and definitely one fans may not exactly even have a clue who will pick up the victory.

Rhea Ripley & Io Shirai vs Charlotte Flair & … Chelsea Green???

I know when I say this for a lot of fans watching the product weekly, and I really hpe we see a title change hands next week. My pick? Io Shirai is extremely talented in the ring. Very agile and is a beautiful storyteller during her matches. The aggressiveness she displays shows how hungry and prepared she is for the opportunity. Rhea Ripley shouldn’t have lost in the first place, but that’s my opinion and I digress. Personally I believe the best move is to take the strap off Charlotte. It’s a no brainer she’s the safest and best wrestler in the industry, no doubt. Although with the new wild card rule in play; Flair is broadcasted on every show throughout the week. But it’s like what Jackie Chan told Jaden Smith in the remake of The Karate Kid, “Too much of good stuff is bad stuff” or in this case; too much Charlotte can cause fans to turn their backs. Charlotte being the veteran she is gets win by putting her legs on the rope as she pinned Io Shirai.

KARRION KROSS VS TOMASSO CIAMPA?!

Karrion Kross made his debut on NXT not too long ago and this matchup has fans talking. It’s going to be good to see how this plays out as Tomasso is an NXT vet and basically at one point was his brand. Will he fold against Kross or will Kross meet a roadblock this early into his WWE career? Tune in to see this match next week on June 7th.

The Original Bro Matt Riddle takes on his former teammate Timothy Thatcher in a Cage Pit Match

Before I get into this, I’m sold highly on Matt Riddle. His character alone is probably the most that hits home with someone and it’s hard to even pinpoint if that’s his actual gimmick or if he’s like how he is naturally. We finally see blood! Not intentionally as the match was held and sent to a commercial for Thatcher to get cleaned up. Matt Riddle is such a good opponent for Brock Lesnar, too bad Lesnar hates his guts. This match gave me this feeling of having both a wrestling match and a flatout brawl. They incorporate some wrestling moves but for the most part was stuck to its “cage” feel. Timothy Thatcher ends up submitting Riddle in a chokehold where Riddle passes out momentarily. I for one will say again Matt Riddle may have a lot of big things ahead of him. His ability to sell in the ring while bein that powerhouse strength, with still being able to make someone tap quickly; he looks to have loads of potential that SmackDown Live would love to have.

I appreciate everyone taking time out their days to read these, if you guys want me to talk about anything specifically, my opinion on a specific superstar, or what’s my favorite PPV etc. The more you’re engaged the more makes my day happier. Thank you guys so much, Brotha Monty signing off.
